First it was Facebook, now it is Instagram. Everyone is up in arms about their engagement and reach quickly dwindling. I’ve been preaching that social media is pay to play for awhile, but we all still want as much as we can get “for free”, right?
Here are three tactics that I’ve been implementing for Advisori and our clients that have helped increased our organic reach over the past few weeks. Try them out and share your results!
When posting to your business page feed, try selecting the image option instead of just updating your status. Use a vertical photo and add the landing page url in the description.
If you use Canva, choose the Pinterest option instead of the square or Facebook post.
Why this works? The image stands out of the newsfeed because it is bigger and longer. It takes a lot more effort to scroll past it.
Video, video, video. Facebook LOVES video.
Don’t want to record and edit a professional video? That’s fine, use Facebook Live!
Oh, and while you’re at it, create a custom audience of those who watch your video to retarget later 🙂
When you choose to “share a photo or video”, choose the carousel option and share multiple photos at once. This is different than an album. Having your photos in the carousel format entices more clicks and engagements.
