Weddings are a big freakin’ deal and people spend a lot of money creating their perfect day. I know from experience!
Just in the US alone, the wedding market is a $55 BILLON industry — $300 BILLION worldwide*. But even with this huge market opportunity, I still see a lot of photographers, event planners, calligraphers, graphic designers, caterers, etc. struggling to find clients and grow their business.
Like any other business, it is your responsibility to find your customers. It is not their responsibility to find you.
There are a ton of different ways you can use Facebook + Instagram ads to find potential customers + seal the deal on those who are interested, but here are a few to help you get started!
Find new customers
- Target “newly engaged” people in your area. Make sure to include something unique about your services, a call to action, and a link to your website. You may also want to include other demographic data to help you narrow down to your ideal clients.
- If you offer your services beyond weddings, create a custom audience of people who have engaged with your page who live in the area you service and use it to promote your other services. For example, you share photos of a wedding and the couple’s friends and family engage (like, share, comment) on the photos. These people probably saw you at the wedding, and they’ve seen your work! Wouldn’t you love to let them know about other services you offer like family photo sessions, senior photos, newborn photos, headshots, etc? You can create a custom audience of these folks and promote your other services to them!
Seal the deal
- Retarget your website visitors, excluding current/past clients, with ads that include testimonials from your past clients and how to book an initial appointment with you.
With all of these start with small budgets and see what works, then increase your spend as you get more comfortable with the platform + start seeing results!
