Speaking to the void and hoping someone, somewhere bites.
Is this how you feel sometimes when posting on social media or publishing new content? We seem to be screaming to the masses hoping someone (fingers crossed maybe they’ll even be our ideal client/customer) will hear us, love what we have to offer and purchase.
Besides the fact that the majority of your fans and followers, people who have already raised their hand and said they are interested, barely see you, the likelihood of a new client/customer finding you off of a random post is very slim. This isn’t because what to have to offer isn’t great, so don’t be hard on yourself! It is the reality of social media and the internet today.
Just look at your posts from 5-10 years ago, and you’ll see that social media has changed drastically! There are more people, more segmentation, more than just status updates, and the fact of the matter is most large social media platforms are companies who want to make money.
This change means that we have to do more than just post and hope great things will happen. In essence, it means it is your responsibility to find your customers, not their job to find you!
